Sporting spectacularly tropical coloured semi-double flowers, this spreading succulent loves hot, dry conditions, making it a perfect ground cover, tumbling down banks or spilling out from rockeries. Portulaca grandiflora is drought tolerant once established and copes well with coastal conditions.
