Description
Hollyhock ‘Chaters Mix’
A must have plant for a cottage garden borders and in fact these striking tall flowers will impress in any garden setting. Boasting towering spires of saucer shaped blooms atop long stems up to 2 metres in height! The colourful flowers are excellent for displaying in vases and being edible can be used for decorating salads and cakes giving a real wow factor to your table!
This hardy perennial is easy to care for and is supplied as a well rooted plug plant.

Prefers well draining soil in full or partial sun.
Pot up your plug plant into a 9cm pot and grow under cover until it has fully rooted through (Can be planted out in final position upon arrival in summer) when it will be ready for planting out in final position. Plant individual hollyhocks 2 feet apart and stack the tall flower stems with bamboo or the like.
First year of flowering the flowers may be single and quite small but once established they will impress with large double blooms up to 2.4M!
Cut back dead foliage in autumn and cover with a winter mulch.
