A modern variety of the species crocus which heralds the onset of spring with bright yellow buds which gradually fade to a dreamy pale lemon colour as this ‘love’ley flower develops, are especially good for naturalising in wild flower meadows, informal grassed areas and lawns. They are also suitable for planting in containers where you can enjoy them close up, or scatter them towards the front of a border, under deciduous trees. If left undisturbed they will naturalise and spread to give a larger display year on year.
